R.I.P. Grandmaster Helio Gracie



It is with great regret to inform you that the founder of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, Grandmaster Helio Gracie has passed away. Team HK would like to show their respects by continuing to preserve the martial art that has changed so many lives around the world for the better. Team HK Golf Tournement - Hawaii Kai - Par 3

We are trying to organize a Team HK golf tournament at the Hawaii Kai - Par 3 golf course. We are looking at doing it in the beginning of March, possibly on Sunday, March 15th. There is a sign up sheet that you can put your name on at class if you are interested in participating. Approximate cost would probably be around $20 - $25 to play and would also include some prizes as well. If we can get enough people, we may even be able to get a cheaper rate for the course.

1st Relson Gracie Volleyball Tournament





This Saturday January 24th, 2009 Relson Gracie will be hosting his 1st ever Volleyball Tournament. All of his Associations from Hawaii will be there representing their school with a team. The winning team will take home a trophy and hold the title until next years event.

Congratulations on the Promotions!

Last night at the Main Academy Relson Gracie promoted a bunch of students from his different schools. Relson gave a speach on the importance of learning the self-defense course and how you must know it in order to get your black belt. Four white belts from Team HK were promoted to blue belt and a two brown belts received degrees. Congratulations to the following Team Members.

Relson Gracie Seminar & Promotions





Relson Gracie will be teaching his monthly seminar at Team HK Jiu-Jitsu on Monday night January 12th. This will be a Gi Seminar, for more info about this seminar check out the events section.
