In observance of Memorial Day all regularly scheduled classes will be canceled and the dojo will be closed. Never forget those who died for our freedom.

We are happy to announce that we are now accepting 4 year olds in our Keiki Combat classes. Our classes are broken up into 2 age groups, 4-6, & 7-14 years old.

Prior experience is not required and we offer a 1 week FREE trial!

Last night at class Andrew "Family Guy" Thompson earned his 2nd & 3rd degrees on his blue belt. For the last 4 years he has been training with us while attending college at UH. Andrew earned his promotions based upon his knowledge of our self-defense curriculum, ground game, and his great attitude as a team member.



Andrew graduated from UH last weekend…

Yesterday I woke up to a text message from one of my students. The message said that he was attacked and he was able to defended himself using what he had learned in our basics class. Billy held off the attacker until he was able to subdue him with a choke hold. I'm so glad that he is okay and that I was able to help someone survive an attack. Here is what he wrote on his Facebook status.

Hey Guys!  Don't forget that this Thursday we will be having a team get together to celebrate our college graduates, Chef Mike, Nate and Andrew.  Congrats Gentlemen!  Also, if you guys didn't know, Andrew Thompson is moving home to the East Coast.  Lets gather and wish him well.

As far as I know, 3 of our team members will be graduating from the University of Manoa. Andrew "Family Guy" Thompson & Mike "Chef" Nakasone will graduate on Saturday the 12th, and Nate Beralas will graduate on Monday.



So Lee has organized a celebration party that will be held at Kanpai on Thursday night May 17th, 5pm till whenever. It will also be Andrew's going away party, he will be moving back to Virginia.

Rhalan Gracie will be teaching a seminar at Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Team HK this upcoming Wednesday night.

Basics class will be taught at 6pm as scheduled. Rhalan's seminar will follow right after.
